We All Knew It Was Time

Posted by Tawny

It was time to get a new blog. I loved this one though, so I pretty much kept the exact same format and everything but have just created a new name and address.

So after much thought, searching, deliberating, and narrowing down, we've come to an agreement and the new blog is named:

Chubby Panda

the url is www.tawnychubbypanda.blogspot.com

I plan on posting there tonight. The switch has been made, we're fresh and back online to blog away about our daily dailies!!

Love to you all, see you over at The Chubby Panda soon....

Ciao

Teya FINALLY Turns 3...

Posted by Tawny

....I say "finally" because it seems like she's been three forever already. For about two weeks Teya insisted on having an Alligator birthday. I have no idea why or what that meant, but she got an alligator birthday none-the-less. It was a simple family party where everything was green and orange, even the food.

Her "camera smile" right now is so funny:)
Teya sees her Gator for the first time... That joy makes it all worth the little extra effort to make the little guy.
Fierce!
We had to document his masterfulness since in a matter of moments HE was the one being devoured.
I know you're wondering: Cherry chip with cream cheese frosting.
Ma cherie
Orange & green finger foods

Air guitar Teya! We put on some funky kid tunes and the girls started a dance party which lasted about 20 minutes...
...The dance moves were creative....
cute....
tiring.....
and TRICKY!
Singing Happy birthday to YOU
Huzzah!!
He's seen his last days...See ya! Cut and serve.
That's the way we do, the way we do.
Yuuuuum
"Heavy heavy hang over thy poor head, what do you wish with a BUMP on the head?" This is a traditional rhyme we'd say for all the birthdays. One hangs a gift above the poor birthday child, recites the rhyme, bonks them on the head, then the birthday girl says "I wish you a..." and has to give them a special wish just for them before she can receive the present.
Bump Bump!!
Bump!
"I wish you a PONY!"
Go Teya, tear that wrapping off!
I do love Panda Bears, I used to collect them as a child. This one hugs you back and drinks very noisily from a bottle.
We found it funny Teya got two baby animals that drink bottles... Jessie took the pony to take care of.
Doing what we do best, being Moms to the fake baby animals. Would one of us be baby hungry perhaps? Is Jessie preggers?
Um, NOPE! These will do just fine for now:)

THANKSGIVING IN LOS ANGELES!!

Posted by Tawny

Thanksgiving this year in LA was memorable to the fullest:) I took Phil as my boyfriend to Cali so I could introduce him to my best friends and adoptive family... and he was taking me to Cali as his girlfriend to introduce me to his real family. Wait, it's all the same thing!!
This was our first documented picture together as a couple. Aww, I think we go good together:)

Chloe and Teya reunited
Ez!
Sarah, this one's for you! Giving his best look: the sultry gaze, with a shy grin thrown in.
Chloe's preschool feast.
Chloe and Teya were killer cute together, they play so naturally and wonderfully... the kind where they disappear into imagination land for hours and ask us to leave we get in the way. Nice.

Both Rachel and I were about to make our first ever Homemade Thanksgiving Apple Pie. We were both a bit nervous so we decided to document our efforts in case proof was ever needed. We were serious about this, the men were all sent away with the kids to a park and we zoned in....It was such a fun sister moment:)

I'm in charge of the apples, cause I can't really mess those up. Peeling is pretty straight forward.
Rachel's in charge of the dough, cause that's the job for a real cook who knows what's what.
You'd never know she's nearly two months pregnant here, although she tries to complain about her imaginary pooch, she still has a six pack tiny waist!!
Oh so precariously forming the top

I created without cookie cutters the acorn, maple leaf, and apple decorations on top. I may not be the best cook known to man but I can add some artistic style at least.
Ta-da!! Et voila!! A golden pie to make Susan proud:) We pulled it off sans disaster... that came later when the marshmallow topping on the yams caught fire in the broiler. Fully ablaze! Rachel can be heard yelling "Braaaaaaaandon!! Fire FIRE, put it out!!!!!"
I think Dave smells something rank
Candid moment laughing at Dave, over his organic raw coconut oil sipping-chocolate pie maybe? Disclaimer here, it was actually delicious!
Although they may look like our poor haggard non-pants children, truly they are full, happy, and loving life in this moment. So it's totally okay they have snaggle hair stained faces and muddy legs, because childhood is joy either way!!
Now for the couple's moments.

I have to put up the attempts with the timer to get all of us in one shot because Brandon cracks me up. He kept trying to place the camera just right, and you can tell he's wondering if its going to work:)
Brandon still looking really worried about the camera and getting himself in the shot:)
Finally the winning picture, it's centered and we're all smiling pleasantly. Boo-YA!
While we were busy cleaning up, Chloe got the camera and held a photoshoot session with Teya as the model. How would you describe the look below? Intense happiness with a hidden agenda?

I think its safe to say this represents how we all felt by weeks end. Full and tired. Especially Rachel, the worlds most gracious hostess who was sick with pregnancy but didn't let it get her down. Thank you Rachel and Brandon for everything you did for us!
