All you mammas know how certain days can go. There's so much to get done, the hours fly by, and the kids can get a little attention deprivation. The day starts out with an attempt to feed Teya some medicine for the first time in her life.
It didn't go well, nothing ended up in her stomach. Watching the Caillou episode on Taking Medicine and all that talk about it being yummy candy juice didn't work.
Then I get down to business: appt managing stuff, phone calls, cleaning, etc... I eventually check on Teya and this is what she has become.
My orphan child.
The poor thing is so dirty she can't even remember how to smile correctly. Those sad little eyes.... this is proof Teya probably gets TOO MUCH attention from me. Really only an hour has passed and she is acting like a deprived soul...
This is a close up just to show you the many details. Where did that piece of tape come from? Why are her fingernails black? Did I really forget to wipe the spaghetti sauce off her face & hands?
Welp, into the bath you go! I let the water run while I checked on something, and this is how I find her, bearly peaking out of the mountain of bubbles. There's only and inch of water in there... it's ALL bubbles. (That Deseret Shampoo lathers REALLY well ;)
Ahhh! The euphoria of bubbles, getting clean, and having mommy's undivided attention once again!

Wow - don't let Johnson & Johnson see those bathtime pics or they'll try and nab Teya for their next baby wash campaign ;0) I think it's funny that she was feeling all dramatic - Abby is kind of the same sometimes ;o)
Oh man, just wait until you have TWO kids! There will be a lot more orphan days - Ava certainly has a lot more now! Teya is so dang funny! I love how she is still scribbling on her legs. How did she get THAT messy though?? Like every inch of her was covered in something! :) It's amazing what a mess toddlers can make in like seconds. Teya reminds me of you when you were little - it's so cute.
PS. What are you doing blogging at 2:30 in the mornig?! Still staying up late I see :)
Oh ya, when you mentioned the Deseret Shampoo it brought back some not so awesome memories from my painful experience when we came to visit! At least it makes some good bubbles... Nice to know it's good for something, right?!
i appriciate the english titles, thank you! i always think my kids look like little homeless children. oh well, that's one of the nice things about l.a. (surprisingly) is that it's not a fashion contest everytime you leave the house.
That is so funny, I totally understand the messes that happen when I have to get something done. I always laugh to myself and wonder if the mess I am now cleaning up was worth the 15, 30, hour I had to do apartment stuff or whatever it is that let me just let them do whatever it was they thought necessary to pass the time even though I know it will be a mess later.
I forget how much of an adventure being a mom is! You just never really know what the day is going to bring you. It makes me so happy to read about your little everyday experiences! How did Teya find so much stuff to rub all over her! She is a hoot! I can't believe how much she is starting to look like you. I see baby Tawny all over her face!
Oh my word how adorable is she! Ok so how on earth are you Tawn! I think about you so much! Teya is gettin so big I can hardly believe it!!!! She is so stinking cute!!! I love your blog! I just wanted to let you know I have a blog as well, so if you wanna add me!! Its sammie397.blogspot.com! I miss you tawn so much! We need to have a phone date here pretty quickly, I have ALOT TO TELL YOU!! Hope all is well! Love you TAWNY!
Oh my gosh! Those bath pictures are so stinkin' cute! She needs to be in a commercial for kids bubble soap or something like that. I swear! It's like she's posed so perfectly all on her own!
That looks like the best bubble bath ever!
This is such a cute post! I was laughing out loud, isn't it amazing how you can turn your back for two minutes and find a complete disaster! I'm sure every kid has their orphan looking days, and really thats what being a kid is all about--because if you had a day looking like she did it wouldn't be as cute! xoxoxo
