SUPPOSE

Posted by Tawny

Jessica & I took a trip to Preston Idaho a while ago to visit my cousin Jo and her ridiculously cool fabric shop slash Quilt Boutique. It's called SUPPOSE, and upon entering the store your imagination creation juices start flowing & it becomes very difficult to narrow it down to just one or two projects to work on.

I went needing to make a new luxuriously soft warm heavenly delicious blanket for my bed (as I'm trying to ween Teya's need to sleep with me by moving into my very own room... I'm so big now;) I found the PERFECT two fabrics for it, and yes all those adjectives I used earlier, that's exactly how this comforter turned out. It's humongous too, which I love.

The finished product (I'm not ashamed I still have my baby blanket, that blue ruffled edge wonder of comfort sitting on the far end of the bed)

It's double sided, a cream and a swirly patterned, both so so so soft to the touch.

Jessie had a few projects in mind, including Halloween hot-pads and dishcloths, place-mats for Vanessa's , and... um other stuff I can't remember.

Ave loved this roll of fabric so much, it almost made her sad:(
Here's Jo tending the till. She's certainly the hippest most chic gal I know. Easy.
Jo & Jessie
Jessie & I also took some time in Memory Lane. Preston is where my Mom grew up, where many relatives still live, so we have lots of childhood memories at all the various places up there. This local eatery is the classic go-to spot, and the workers are small-town friendly walking around passing out suckers and taking pictures for us.

We have video of Jessie & I playing at this exact same park when we were 3 & 4 years old. Now we returned with our little "mini me" girls and it's like we've come full circle... a repeat of the past. Lots of the equipment is still the same, like this tall scary metal slide & the old school merry-go-round. The missing piece that I'm sad about is the very long plank of wood fashioned into a teeter-totter. I remember being at the top and thinking I was in the sky it was so high, and it was always the ultimate challenge to get off that thing without slamming your partner totter to the ground giving them a good whack on the toosh.... which happened to Jessie in the video. She's seen walking around complaining that I hurt her bum as she messages it.

The blanket you made is amazing! So talented, Tawny! And that fabric shop looked like heaven! I want to go. What a fun job that would be to work there. Lucky you have family who owns one. See you at Thanksgiving time!!!

I felt your comforter and it is freakin' soft! I'm jealous. I remember that park... that slide burns you on hot days and you kind of get stuck going down it :) Good times!
